NABARD: Assistant Managers in Grade ‘A’ - Legal Service Exam Details

Eligibility Criteria (As on the date mentioned in notification)  Educational Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks OR LLM degree with a minimum of 45% or equivalent.  Note: (i) For PWD candidates, minimum required marks shall be 50% in Bachelor’s Degree OR with LLM degree with a minimum of 45% or equivalent.  Note: (ii) SC/ST/PWD candidates having second class with a minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s Degree OR having a post graduate degree or equivalent are eligible to apply.  Desirable: Special knowledge of Banking Law, Company Law, Labour Law, Cyber Laws and Constitutional Law and experience in drafting of pleadings and documents and experience as an Advocate or as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of Banks/financial institutions.  Age Limit: Between 21 years and 30 years Note: Upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years in case of eligible OBC and a maximum of 05 years in case of SC/ST & Ex-servicemen and 10 years for PWD (UR); 13 years for PWD (OBC) and 15 years for PWD (SC/ST) applicants.  Selection Process Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (Except for Asst. Manager (Protocol and Security Service) and Manager in Grade ‘B’ (RDBS) the selection will be in three Phases i.e. Preliminary Exam (Objective type), Main Examination (descriptive) and Interview.  Phase I: Scheme of Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)  (For AM in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS), AM in Rajbhasha and AM in Legal Service and Manager in Grade 'B' RDBS) Name of the Test No. of Questions Max marks Duration Quantitative Aptitude 50 50 130 minutes Test of Reasoning 50 50 English Language & Computer Awareness 60 (30+30) 60 General Awareness 40 40 Total 200 200 Phase II: Scheme of Main Examination (Descriptive type) Name of the paper/ test Marks Duration Paper I: General English 100 3 hours Paper II: Proficiency in Law 100 3 hours Phase III: Interview: Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview.  Emoluments and Service Conditions Pay Scale: Assistant Managers (Grade ‘A’): Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.17100/- p.m. in the scale of 17100-1000(11) - 28100-EB- 1000(4)-32100-1100(1)- 33200 applicable to Officers in Grade 'A' and they will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs.40562/- p.m. The pay scales are due for an upward revision.
