Syndicate Bank announced notification for admission into Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance programme recently. It is a cashless bridge for young and passionate graduates where banks assists financially in the form of loans to pursue career oriented diploma course and recover the sum (with interest) in EMIs later after joining the bank as a probationary officer.

To achieve the same, nowadays, all public and private sector banks have decided to train their staff in isolation and aims at imparting the domain knowledge of banking and finance. In this programme, candidates shall be trained on knowledge and skills in core banking, specialized banking, managerial skills, and soft skills etc. The programme consists of classroom sessions, e-learning, internship and on-the-Job-Training.
Selection Process: Candidates shall be selected by Syndicate Bank through a selection process consisting of an (open) online test to be conducted in 36 centers across the country followed by Group Discussion and Interview. Written Exam Tips The written online exam consists of 4 sections viz. Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness. Each section consists of 50 multiple choice questions where each question having one mark. The duration of the test is 120 minutes. Reasoning Ability: One can get maximum score in reasoning as all questions have simple logic and some relationship. Quantitative Aptitude In this section, question appeared from Simplifications, Number series, time and distance, probability, Data Interpretation (Table, Line graph and Caselet), Ages, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Number System etc. As different types and models of questions appeared in various previous exams it is better to practice more previous papers rather than model papers. General Awareness: This section is vast and designed to check the candidate’s General Awareness and General Knowledge, which mainly focused on Current Affairs and GK. General Knowledge and Current Affairs are inter-related and cannot be divided from one another. The current events now may fall under GK after few months. For example, “Who was conferred with Sraswati Samman award 2015?” which is under current events now, shall become GK Question after a year or two. One should prepare interlinking GK and Current events and developments. It could help a lot to remember more easily. English Language: Reading Comprehension, Spotting errors, Idioms and Phrases, One word Substitutions, Sentence arrangement, Close Test or Passage Completion are the main topics from where the questions appeared. Reading English News Papers, Magazines, Editorials and other English stories helps a lot in improving Language. Habituate yourself knowing the meaning for words and phrases on the spot at the time of reading, which greatly helps your vocabulary. Ltd. and Nitte Education International Pvt. Ltd, Greater Noida (NEIPL) to train young graduates with 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance course. This course aims at imparting the necessary knowledge skills required in banking industry. On successful completion of the course within the stipulated time period, the candidate would be offered appointment in the bank as Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I. Fee Structure: The fees for this Course will be Rs. 3.50/- lakhs (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus service taxes, as applicable to be paid by the student. Students can finance the course fees by availing an Education Loan which will be granted by Syndicate Bank as per Synd Vidya Scheme. Stipend A stipend amount will be paid to the students during the entire duration of the one year course Rs. 2,500/- p.m. during the nine months Campus period, and Rs. 10,000/- p.m. during the internship period.
